This blog deals with different topics regarding the Global Positioning System (GPS). What started out some years ago as a single page with hints and how-to's for Garmin-/Mac-users has turned into a somewhat more general collection of articles about Satellite Navigation. Nevertheless, the Mac-nerd will still find everything he always wanted to know about the use of Garmin GPS receivers with Apple Macintosh computers – but never dared to solder.
The are some introductionary texts about the basic terms and history of the GPS-system:

- Introduction to the NAVSTAR system (GPS)
- Basic Terms: Waypoints, Routes, Tracks
- Handling your GPS-device/Improving the signal quality

Support articles regarding Garmin-devices on Macintosh computers:
- Different software for different tasks – an introduction
- Mac-GPS-Software Guide
- Which Garmin should I buy? [to be released in December 2009]
- Big trouble with small cards
